Today you finally have time for your favourite person in the world: The two of you spend precious hours on the terrace. These five treats shall make your evening light, full of delight and good conversation. The snacks are easily prepared and do not need much work.
With your grilled iced tea, you start off into the evening on a special note. The fruity-sparkling aperitif goes perfect with the food and refreshes you on warm summer nights. Place your Tamber on the wooden lid and light the Charcoal with a long match or a stick lighter. After about 20 minutes the Charcoal will glow completely, and the Table Top Grill is ready for the starter. While you are on it you can slice the limes and brew your tea.
Martini iced tea
- 1 tsps. loose green tea
- 1 lime (organic)
- 150 mL cold Martini Bianco
- 3 twigs mint (organic)
- ice cubes
- Boil approx. 1/4 L water and let cool down for about 5 minutes. Brew tea and infuse according to taste for 2-3 minutes. Let cool down and keep in a cold place.
- Wash the lime, dry and slice on half. Roast the slices on the Tamber until golden brown. Squeeze the other half of the lime. Mix Martini with tea and taste with lime juice. Distribute ice cubes into the glasses, 2-3 mint leaves and 1 grilled slice of lime each.
- Pour the tea-Martini mix.

Starter: Bruschetta
The light starter is the ideal beginning for the light menu. For you to enjoy the bread fresh and crunchy, you best grill it together as soon as your guest has arrived.
You need:
For the tomato mixture:
- 400 g cocktail tomatoes
- 1 small red onion
- 1 garlic clove
- some basil
- some oregano
- 4 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. balsamico bianco
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
For the bread:
- ciabatta bread
- some olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- some rocket salad as garnish
How preparation will be a success:
- Mix all ingredients for the tomato mixture in a bowl.
- Slice the bread, distribute on the Tamber and roast from both sides.
- Rub the fresh garlic onto the bread, drip some olive oil, spread the tomato mixture and garnish to your taste with rocket salad.


Stuffed mushrooms
For the main course you can just prepare some light food perfectly suitable for the Table Top Grill, such as stuffed mushrooms. You can already prepare the stuffing in the morning. Nicely dressed in bowls you can combine them with other stuffings – thus you can compile your grilled mushroom heads individually.
You need:
- 8 large mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy sour cream
- 1 onion
- some chives (to taste)
- 80 g grated cheese
- some butter or oil
How preparation will be a success:
- Clean the mushrooms.
- Carefully remove the stems, dice together with the onion and shortly roast in a pan with some butter.
- Cut the chive into fine rings, mix with the onion-mushroom mixture and season with salt and pepper. Stuff the mixture into the mushroom heads and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Place the mushrooms carefully on the Tamber with the stuffing facing upwards and grill until the cheese is melting.
Halloumi skewers
The same holds true for halloumi cheese skewers: Apart from zucchini you can also place peppers, prawns, cherry tomatoes etc. on small plates. These will bring some colour on the table. The skewers can then each be composed individually.
You need:
- 1 halloumi cheese
- 1 zucchini
- wooden skewers
How preparation will be a success:
- Cut the halloumi into larger dice.
- Wash the zucchini and peel off fine slices with a vegetable peeler.
- Wrap the zucchini around the halloumi dice and place on the skewers.
- Grill the skewers from both sides.
Marinated chicken-lime skewers
If your favourite person rather prefers vegetarian food, you can easily swap the chicken breasts with firm tofu or soy strips. Despite its rather small size, the enamel grate of the Tamber will surely suffice for two.
You need:
- 300 g chicken breast fillet (organic)
- 2.5 tbsp. honey
- 2 tbsp. dark soy sauce
- 1/2 chilli pepper
- 1 spring onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 garlic cloves
- 0.5 cm ginger
- 1 tsp. sugar
- juice from 1/2 lime
- some fresh coriander
How preparation will be a success:
- Cut chicken breast into small slices.
- Peel and chop garlic and ginger.
- Remove pips from chilli pepper and chop. Wash spring onion and coriander and chop finely.
- Mix all ingredients with the honey, the soy sauce, sugar and lime juice.
- Marinate chicken breast for at least 1 hour.
- Plug chicken pieces onto the skewers and grill on Tamber until well done.
Tasty grilling dip sauces, a fresh salad and ciabatta bread go well with this dish.


Grilled peaches with yoghurt
Yet, the Tamber is not only ideal for spicy and savoury delicacies, but also for the seductively sweet – and every wonderful evening deserves a sweet conclusion! - Greek yoghurt (as desired)

How preparation will be a success:
- Wash the peaches, cut into halves and remove pit.
- Place peaches face-down on the Tamber for slight roasting.
- Remove from grill, dress with some yoghurt and honey and garnish with strawberry mint.
